Life goes by fast with kids. One minute they are teeny tiny humans that sleep 20 hours a day, the next they are walking, talking little extensions of you. Lately, my two and half year old makes me laugh and when she is not making me laugh, she is melting my heart. I want to remember these moments, because they go by so quickly. I decided to put together a little interview in attempt to freeze this moment in time. Here’s how our talk went.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Sophie: A swan
Why do you want to be a swan?
Sophie: Because Sophia the first likes swans and they are kind of like birds and I like birds. Uncle Stefan likes swans, too.
What is something mommy always says to you?
Sophie: I love you, Sophia Grey Sabich
What does daddy do for work?
Sophie: He works on his computer and then he goes to work.
What is your sister’s favorite food?
Sophie: Carrots
What is your favorite food?
Sophie: Carrots
Really? Hmm I have never seen you eat them. Can you eat some right now?
Sophie: Umm, no. I can eat some fruit snacks.
What are you really good at?
Sophie: I’m really good at counting
What is really hard for you?
Sophie: Umm, to draw.
Where do you live?
Sophie: We live in Reno, mommy.
What is your favorite part about being a kid?
Sophie: Spinning, because I don’t get dizzy
What is the yuckiest thing in the world?
Sophie: Grass and poop. We don’t eat those.
What is the best thing about being a big sister?
Sophie: Hugging Sadie and making her laugh.
What are you most proud of?
Sophie: Umm, I’m proud of mommy and daddy.
What is the scariest thing you have ever seen?
Sophie: A lion
Really? When did you see a lion?
Sophie: A lion comes and he eats us and he says, “rawr.”
We had such a great talk! This such a fun way to interact with your kids and document a conversation in time.
If you decide to interview your child, feel free to leave the best response you get in the comments. I would love to see it. Kids say the greatest things!
